Eric Avery
Eric Avery is a bass player and one of the founding members of the rock band Jane’s Addiction. Following the first breakup of the band, Eric went on to participate in the Deconstruction project with former grammar school classmate and fellow Jane’s Addiction bandmate Dave Navarro, and then in 1994 created another side project, Polar Bear. Over the years, Eric has worked with a variety of musicians and bands including Garbage, Peter Murphy, and auditioned for some other well-known acts such as Metallica and Smashing Pumpkins. Eric has also contributed original music to the feature film documentary “The 11th Hour,” and released his debut solo album “Help Wanted” in 2008.
Eric Balfour
Eric Balfour’s career in entertainment began at the age of fifteen when a talent scout cast him as a series regular on the hit dancing and singing show “Kids Incorporated.” Balfour is currently filming the second season of SyFy’s critically-acclaimed drama series, “Haven,” which is based on Stephen King’s novel, “The Colorado Kid.” Eric plays the charming yet mysterious Duke Crocker, a Haven local who appears to be a free-spirit, living a modest life on his boat, yet it becomes clear that his mellow behavior may conceal a much darker agenda. Balfour has also been seen in several films including Universal’s Sci Fi thriller, “Skyline,” Dimension’s “Hell Ride,” Mandate Film’s “The Horsemen” opposite Dennis Quaid, and Lionsgate Film’s “The Spirit” alongside Eva Mendes. When not acting, Balfour is involved in many other creative endeavors as a writer/director and producer for his recently formed production company Off The Grid Entertainment.
David Chokachi
David Chokachi is one of the most recognizable actors working today. Best known for his role as Cody Madison in the worldwide television phenomenon, “Baywatch,” David has also appeared in various other television shows including TNT’s original hit series “Witchblade,” “Beyond The Break,” and a variety of studio and television films including “Soul Surfer,” “The Putt Putt Syndrome,” “Born Bad,” and the upcoming SyFy original “Yeren.” When he’s not filming, David, who is a 2009 recipient of the Surfrider Foundation’s distinguished “Keeper of the Coast” award, can be found in the water and raising awareness for the environment and animal rights.
Brian Geraghty
Brian Geraghty most recently starred in “The Hurt Locker,” the Academy Award-winning thriller directed by Kathryn Bigelow and co-starring Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie. He also earned rave reviews for his lead performance (“Tender and effecting” – Hollywood Reporter) in the independent drama “Easier With Practice.” The film, the directorial debut of Kyle Patrick Alvarez, won the grand jury prize at the 2009 Cinevegas Film Festival. Geraghty recently completed work on several independent films including “Ten Year,” “Refuge,” “ATM,” and “Seven Days In Utopia.” When he’s not on set, Geraghty can be found in the water. An ardent surfer, he has been a surf instructor and is an ongoing, active supporter of the Surfrider Foundation.
Gregory Harrison
Currently filming ABC’s “Body Of Proof,” Gregory Harrison is probably best known for his role as Dr. ‘Gonzo’ Gates on the long-running CBS series “Trapper John, M.D.,” as the iconic soul surfer/shaper Chandler in the 1987 feature film “North Shore,” or as Eric Robert’s grieving lover in the touching 1995 MGM feature “It’s My Party.” He has starred in nearly 50 made-for-television movies, ranging from a male stripper in the iconic 80’s favorite “For Ladies Only,” to the U.S. President in the TNT “First Daughter” trilogy, to a lascivious father in last year’s Lifetime hit “Maneater.” Last year Gregory starred in the La Jolla Playhouse world premier of “Surf Report.” Currently, Gregory and Linda Purl have been touring the country with their musical evening “A Night To Remember.” When he’s not acting, Gregory can be found surfing (he’s been doing this since 1961), and is proud member of the Surfrider Advisory Board.
Chad Lowe
Emmy Award winning actor Chad Lowe started his career over 30 years ago. Currently, Lowe is starring in and directing the hit series “Pretty Little Liars” on ABC Family Channel. Other notable television appearances include “Life Goes On,” “Take Me Home: The John Denver Story,” “ER,” “Melrose Place,” “Now and Again,” and “24.” On the big screen, Lowe has appeared in numerous films, such as “Nobody’s Perfect,” “Highway To Hell,” and “Unfaithful.” In theatre his credits include Off-Broadway productions, “Grotesque Love Songs,” “Burning Blue,” and “The Exonerated.”
John Slattery
John Slattery is a respected actor in the Hollywood community and a veteran of TV, film and stage. Instantly recognizable from his roles on television, John Slattery recently received his fourth Emmy nomination and an individual Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination for “Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series” on behalf of his work on “Mad Men.” The show also received a nomination for “Best Drama Series.” In addition to co-starring for three seasons on “Mad Men,” he had a substantial story arc as ‘Victor Lang’ on the hit ABC series “Desperate Housewives.” On the big screen, Slattery currently wrapped production on Brian Savelson’s “Family Tree,” starring opposite Gabrielle Union, Zach Gilford, and Jenna Malone. The film centers on an estranged father and son who end up sharing a vacation home with their respective girlfriends when a scheduling mistake ensues. In theater, Slattery has appeared on Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize winning “Rabbit Hole,” for which he was nominated for a Drama League Award, the Broadway revival of “Betrayal” and opposite Nathan Lane in Neil Simon’s “Laughter on the 23rd Floor.” His Off-Broadway credits include the original production of “Three Days of Rain,” which earned him the LA Drama Critics Award and a Drama Desk nomination.
Jesse Spencer
Jesse is best known for his portrayal of ‘Dr. Robert Chase’ on the FOX series, “House.” Jesse Spencer’s film credits include a starring role in “Uptown Girls” with Brittany Murphy and the biopic “Swimming Upstream” with Geoffrey Rush and Judy Davis. He will soon be seen starring in Spike Lee’s independent feature “Girl Is in Trouble”. Spencer has worked extensively in the U.K. and Australia, both in television and theater. He starred in the acclaimed BBC drama “Death in Holy Orders” and has had starring roles in the BBC adaptation of “Lorna Doone” and Hallmark’s “Stranded.” He began his career starring in the long-running Australian soap, “Neighbours.” The Australian actor’s lead roles in UK theater have included “Terrence” in “The Modernists,” directed by Robert Delamare at the Sheffield Crucible Theatre, and the title role in “Peter Pan” at the White Rock Theatre. Spencer lives in Los Angeles.
Ross Thomas
Ross Thomas is an American actor, filmmaker, musician and philanthropist who recently starred in Sony’s “Soul Surfer,” opposite Academy Award Winner Helen Hunt, Golden Globe Winner Dennis Quaid and Grammy Award Winner Carrie Underwood. In addition to a notable spot on a MasterCard trilogy commercial that aired during the Academy Awards, Thomas has been featured in films “The Cutting Edge 2: Going For The Gold,” “American Pie: The Naked Mile,” “Dance Flick,” and the indie flick “Shelter.” On the small screen, Thomas joined fellow Expression Session participant David Chokachi on “Beyond The Break.” Additionally, he could be seen on popular shows such as “Lie To Me,” “CSI,” “Cold Case,” and “Living With Fran.” Thomas can next be seen in the indie flick, “Lip Service,” opposite “Twilight’s” Christian Serratos, due out later this year.
Sam Trammell
With versatility that takes him from the New York stage to films and a hit television series, Sam Trammell has built a career on selecting diverse and challenging roles that allow him to continually evolve with each new project. Trammell currently stars on HBO’s critically acclaimed hit series, “True Blood,” which will premiere its fourth season on June 26th at 9PM ET/PT. Based on the Southern Vampire book series by Charlaine Harris, True Blood was created by Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) and stars Anna Paquin. Trammell plays Sookie’s (Paquin) boss “Sam Merlotte,” a shape-shifter who is able to use his powers to transform into animals. This summer, Trammell can also be seen starring in the thriller, “Guns, Girls, and Gambling” with Gary Oldman, Christian Slater and Dane Cook. The stylized crime thriller throws Elvis impersonators, Native Americans, modern cowboys, a 6-foot-tall blond assassin, a frat boy, a corrupt sheriff and a prostitute into a chase for a priceless American Indian artifact stolen during a poker game at an Indian casino. A West Virginia native, Trammell attended Brown University where he gravitated to acting in his senior year. Following graduation, he garnered attention and accolades for a trio of stage performances – as a compulsive gambler in his Off-Broadway debut “Dealer’s Choice,” a quirky Yorkshire painter in “My Night With Reg,” and a Tony-nominated performance in the lead role of the Broadway revival of Eugene O’Neill’s comedy “Ah Wilderness” in 1998. He also garnered rave reviews for his turn as Thomas Walsingham in the Off-Broadway play “Kit Marlowe,” about the Elizabethan playwright.
